ADVICE – An incident has started. No immediate danger Situation: A lot of smoke can be seen at Putty between Lilavale Track and 695 Putty Valley Road but the fire is under control. Several fire brigades are attending.

Bush Fire Danger Period starts 1 September

Putty residents have been preparing their properties for the bushfire season. The Bureau of Meteorology’s long range forecast is for a drier than median September to November for most of Australia, with warmer than median days and nights. See rainfall for August below.

Fire Assessment and Advice Program

To all Putty, Kindarun and Yengo residents, The forecast for a dry winter and spring leading into this year’s fire season should be a reminder for all residents to prepare their properties ahead of time.
